CODE OF ETHICS
of the Royal House of De Lusignan and its Four Chivalric Orders
(Saint Catherine of Mount Sinai, Saint Blaise, the Sword, and the Asiatic Cross)
I. Foundational Principles
• Fidelity to Almighty God, the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Faith, and the teachings of Jesus Christ.
• Loyalty to the Sovereign Head of the Royal House of De Lusignan and obedience to the Chancellery and the Council of Grand Priors of each Order.
• Devotion to the noble ideals of Chivalry: honour, courage, charity, humility, and fraternal solidarity.
• Preservation of the dynastic dignity of the Royal House of De Lusignan and protection of its Christian-chivalric heritage.
II. Obligations of Members
• To live a blameless life, free from scandal, corruption, or conduct unbecoming of a knight or dame.
• To uphold justice, defend the weak, and exercise acts of charity and mercy.
• To respect the secrecy, dignity, and integrity of the Orders and their deliberations.
• To maintain fidelity to one’s oaths of investiture and safeguard the prestige of the Orders.
• To render due honour to fellow chevaliers, dames, officers, and members of the Chancellery.
• To refrain from exploiting the dignity of the Orders for personal, political, or financial gain.
III. Prohibited Conduct
• Any public or private act contrary to Christian morals, the honour of knighthood, or the reputation of the Orders.
• Statements, publications, or associations that bring disrepute upon the Royal House of De Lusignan.
• Usurpation, forgery, or false representation of titles, dignities, or heraldic privileges.
• Misuse of the patrimony, funds, insignia, or archives of the Orders.
• Breach of confidentiality or betrayal of fraternal trust.
IV. Disciplinary Measures
• Admonition – private or public reprimand for minor breaches.
• Suspension – temporary removal of rights and privileges within the Order.
• Expulsion – removal from membership, with the compulsory return of diplomas, insignia, and regalia.
• Revocation of Titles – forfeiture of noble titles, dignities, or heraldic grants conferred by the Royal House of De Lusignan.
• Annulment of Acts – nullification of honours, awards, or offices held within the Orders.
V. Enforcement
• The Sovereign Head of the Royal House of De Lusignan, as Grand Master of the Orders, holds ultimate authority in ethical and disciplinary matters.
• The Chancellery of each Order, together with the Council of Grand Priors, is empowered to investigate and recommend disciplinary action, subject to the confirmation of the Sovereign Head.
• All Chevaliers and Dames pledge obedience to this Code under the solemnity of their Oath of Investiture.
